Kinondo Kwetu

Kinondo Kwetu

The only hotel on a stretch of private white beach on Galu beach, Indian Ocean. A Home Away From Home. Kinondo Kwetu is a small, all-inclusive luxury resort owned and operated by Swedish family.

Beyond the accommodations, food, and amenities, it also offers another kind of luxury. We are talking about the luxury of peace and quiet, of freedom and rest. Kinondo Kwetu is situated on the south coast of Kenya, 1 ½ hours ride south from Mombasa, on the beach of the Indian Ocean. With room for no more than 38 guests, you will always find your own private spot at Kinondo Kwetu.

A very special hideaway for honeymooners. It is also the perfect place to gather family or friends for a private celebration or wedding. With two kitchens in separate buildings, the place can easily be divided into two, making it possible for companies of 10-20 or 30-40 to stay for themselves. It is also the ideal spot for corporate retreats.

Every room and cottage has its own personalized character, as it is furnished and decorated with Swahili culture handicraft and antiquities. Rooms are equipped with king size beds, fans and mosquito nets. There are plenty of quiet, beautiful spots where you can retire to spend time with yourself or in company, in the library or in one of the living rooms. Or outside, in one of the water towers, where you can watch the sun set over the mountains, on a cliff

The reefs along Galu Beach boast a generous variety of marine life. One can see a range of exotic species - from angel fish and parrot fish to dolphins, turtles, and even whale sharks. Whale shark season is from Oct to March. Deep sea fishing is also available with catches such as Tuna, Wahoo, Barracuda and Marlin. The bird life around Kinondo Kwetu is exceptionally rich - described as bird lovers paradise.
