Marlin Lodge is built on elevated wooden stilts and overlooks the ocean in the tranquil Flamingo bay. The Bazaruto Archipelago was formed by massive sand deposits by the waters of the Limpopo River, and is now host to over 2000 fish species and over a hundred coral species. From sand dunes to freshwater lakes and acacia woodlands, Benguerra Island is a diverse ecological gem.

17 SEASCAPE SUITES, 14 LUXURY BEACH SUITES – En-Suite bathroom, Inside and outside showers, open plan bathroom, private lounge, private veranda with deck chairs. 3 EXECUTIVE BEACH SUITE - En-suite bathroom, double basins, separate vanity area, king size four-poster bed with mosquito netting, open plan bathroom, private veranda with deck chairs and hammock, private walkway to the beach.

Guests fly into Vilanculos – the gateway to the Bazaruto Archipelago. From Vilanculos, guests transfer by boat to Bazaruto Archipelago. If weather conditions do not allow a boat transfer – they will have to do an air transfer.

The dining room is situated in the main area of the lodge. Food is mostly set menus for lunch and dinner with a choice of 2 main courses as well as a starter and dessert. Fish or seafood option lunch and dinner. The breakfast is a buffet of continental items with the traditional hot breakfast served from the kitchen. The food is a mix of Portuguese, Asian and African flavors. Barbecues on the beach with a selection of seafood, meat and salads.

WATER SPORTS - Waterskiing and knee boarding.

PANSY ISLAND EXCURSION - Pansy Island is situated 30 minutes north of Benguerra Island. Enjoy lunch under colorful umbrellas and rugs, spread out on pure white sand. Take part in various water sports or simply stroll along the beach in search for the unique Pansy Shell.

SNORKELLING TRIPS - Floating on one of the world’s top snorkeling spots and view many of the areas beautiful fish and coral reefs. An overwhelmingly beautiful snorkel at 2 Mile Reef.The trip includes a stop at Pansy Island where the legendary shell is found.

DHOW CRUISES - Dhow Sunset Cruise. Sail on one of the traditional Mozambican dhows, whilst the sunsets over the Archipelago.

PICNIC BY BOAT - Paradise Island, including snorkeling - Pansy Island - Magaruque Island.

DIVING AND SNORKELING - The warm tropical waters surrounding the archipelago support a stunning variety of fish, coral, marine mammals and plants. Water temperatures range from 28 degrees Celsius in summer (30 degrees between December and February) to 22 degrees Celsius during the winter months. The various dive sites can be reached with the 27ft catamaran Novacat, equipped to accommodate 8 divers and equipment comfortably.

ANGLING AND FLY FISHING - The Bazaruto Archipelago is heralded as one of the greatest game fishing sites in the Indian Ocean. Species such as Sailfish, Blue Marlin, Black Marlin and King Fish can be found roaming deep beneath the waters.
