Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Ngorongoro Conservation Area is much more than the crater for which it is famous. The conservation area borders the south of Serengeti to the north and west, Loliondo Game Controlled Area to the north and the rift valley to the east. The southern part of the area extends to lake Eyasi and the Karatu areas south of Ngorongoro Crater.

This area is magnificent in itself, rich in spectacular scenery, tropical rainforest, open plains and culturally blessed by the Maasai who inhabit the area.
