As the great migration makes its way across the expansive plains of the Serengeti, so the luxury seasonal Olakira Camp follows – offering its guests a unique and exceptional bush experience.
From mid December to March, the camp is located in the southern Serengeti (specifically the Ndutu area – moving to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area side). During this period, members of the vast wildebeest herd give birth almost simultaneously, a natural spectacle witnessed firsthand by guests of Olakira Camp. The camp then relocates to the Northern Serengeti for June to early December, just in time to see the migration moving towards the Mara River. Aside from the Migration, this area offers excellent game viewing all year around allowing game drives along the Mara River and into the cat populated Lobo area.
Olakira Camp offers the perfect balance between an authentic, intimate bush camp and the luxuries of space, well-equipped bathrooms and large comfortable beds. After a day of intense game drives, our wonderful camp staff invites you to a leisure-time drink along the open fireplace to chat with the other guests about your adventures. End your day by enjoying a specially prepared three course meal that will perfectly round off your Olakira experience.
