Ubuntu camp travels with the natural flow of the wildebeest. From late July to October, the camp is positioned to intercept the migration in the Northern Serengeti before it relocates to the southern Ngorongoro Conservancy Area from December through to February. As the herds move west, so does the camp and is positioned in the western corridor from May to mid-July to tactically intercept the migration on its turn north. Our guides who spend eleven months of the year with the herds are able in each location to explore, in depth, the subtle and fascinating traits of this extraordinary cycle of life.
Ubuntu camp is a seasonal camp of eight tents with two lounge/dining tents. The intimate camp is designed to reach key areas of wildlife activity when a camp is most needed. The camp is lightweight enough to move seasonally but it also offers every comfort possible. Each tent is either a double or a twin (triples available), with flush toilets, running water and safari showers in en-suite bathrooms. Hospitality, great food and a wonderful relaxed environment is the essence of Ubuntu Camp.
