The Mara is exclusively in Kenya but borders Tanzania and the Serengeti National Park to the south. Naibor Camp is hidden in the riverine woodland of the Talek River about 2km from the point where it flows into the Mara River, just about the very heart of the Mara Game Reserve. This is a superb location from which to explore the Mara habitat, host to a vast array of wildlife. Many species of herbivores and ungulates support the many carnivores living here. There is fabulous wildlife viewing throughout the year, and from July to November the annual wildebeest migration passes through this area. Naibor is ideally located close to all the major wildebeest crossing sites over the Mara River.
The main focus at Naibor is to drive out from camp daily to observe and photograph the extraordinary concentrations of wildlife. Bush meals and sundowners are popular, and are often enjoyed in conjunction with a game drive extra activity. Cultural visits to the nearby Masai communities just outside the reserve can also be arranged. You can visit one of their villages, observe traditional dances and interact with these very traditional people. Hot Air Ballooning can also be arranged for guests at Naibor. This involves an early morning wakeup, flight is approximately 1.5hrs over the grasslands teeming with wildlife, champagne breakfast on landing and game drive back to Naibor. For those wanting to enjoy the African night alone Naibor can arrange private meals outside your tent, dinners under the stars are ideal for couples and honeymooners.
