We need to know

1. What is your approximate budget?

Your budget determines what we propose when building a customized itinerary. Each trip is built from the ground up so we need a target to guide us. Please provide a per person per day budget that you are comfortable with, or if you know what your total budget limit is, provide us with this. This information makes us a whole lot more productive.Please consider:

  • How much you can spend on your safari not including international flights?
  • Remember to budget for extras such as tips, insurance and cost of any additional activities
  • The need for a 30% deposit when confirming a booking and be ready to make full payment 60 days before traveling

    2. What is the composition of your group?

    The make-up of your group affects the cost as well as the destination. Some accommodation options are not suited to younger children and may not be ideal for the very old. The number of people traveling determines vehicle size and choice of accommodation as many camps and lodges are limited to 12 or 16 persons. Please therefore let us know:

  • How many people want to go on safari?
  • What age will those in your group be when traveling?
  • Are there any particular rooming requirements (single / twin / triple / double)?
  • Do you have language preferences or requirements?

    • 3. Trip timing

    The time of year affects the cost. The European and US holiday periods are the most expensive, not because of what you may see or when the best time to travel is, but because operators are busy and can extract higher prices at this time. Off-season bookings almost always cost less. Off season could also mean "rainy season" when some areas are off-limits or closed due to a lack of demand. Some areas a better in the green season than the dry, so our suggested destination will vary depending on the time of year. Therefore, please consider:

  • When do you plan on traveling?
  • For how long do you want to go (excluding your international flights?

    • 4. Your interests

    Everyone has different interests which is why we custom design safaris. Please consider the following as your response will help us make suggestions on where you go:

  • Do you have a particular destination in mind?
  • Do you consider yourself an active or passive traveler?
  • Do you wish to include walks, riding, cycling, mountain climbing, fishing, diving, sailing, canoeing or any other activity
  • Is a cultural experience important to you?
  • Do you prefer smaller and private or does this not matter?
  • Do you prefer lodges, tented camps or simple accommodation?
  • Are you willing to spend some nights in "fly-camps" or very simple bush camps?
  • Are you willing use small aircraft to save time and avoid backtracking and to save time, although this may increase the price slightly?
  • Anything else that might help us plan your trip?

    • 5. Once you book we will need to know:

  • If you have any special dietary requirements
  • Your full names as shown in passport (to book internal flights)
  • Your nationality (required by many camps and lodges)
  • If you want to purchase trip and cancelation insurance
