Description
A small but great Adventure Camp. With just 10 tents Mdonya Old River camp offers a personal service tailor-made to clients needs. The dining and lounge tents are under Sycamore Fig trees overlooking the dry river bed which is used by game as a corridor, so that guests can enjoy the game viewing while in camp.

Located in Ruaha National Park, a few kilometres from the Mdonya Falls and an exciting 1-2 hour game drive from the airstrip, Old Mdonya River Camp in its simplicity, lets you relax into bush life. For those who seek adventure there are many options at Mdonya:

*Driving oneself through the bush, accompanied by a guide
*Walking beside the Great Ruaha River accompanied by a trained Park Ranger.

plus other activities designed to guests needs by the experienced Camp Manager. The camp is located in a beautiful wilderness area and sitting in the camp with a book and a pair of binoculars may be quite rewarding. Game drives are flexible and not limited by any schedule! Guests get a chance to see the breathtaking mosaic of ecosystems, from the river pools to the dry open Savannah. There are Baobab valleys and sand rivers fringed with Hyphaene petersiana palms. Monolithic granite boulders dating from the formation of the Great Rift Valley and exposed by erosion, litter the area, especially by the Mdonya Falls.

Room information
10 tents, each with its own bathroom, are scattered under the shade of large sycamore figs and Acacia albida. They are simple and comfortable, furnished with double or twin beds and with large verandas where one can relax and observe the wildlife around.
