Description
Babu's Camp is an intimate classic tented camp which opened in 2006 and was the first and still only permanent tented camp in Mkomazi - one of Tanzania's newest National Parks.

Nestled against a backdrop of hills with views over the savanna, Babu's camp lies just 11 km from the Zange entrance gate. It is an ideal base from which to explore the 3700 sq. km park which borders Kenya's Tsavo National Park across the border.

Mkomazi has 78 known species of animals and over 450 recoded bird species. Being a relatively new park, the density of animals is not as high as some other parks, however - game viewing is reasonable and best of all - with few other visitors, this is a place where you can explore the wilderness in peace.

Highlights
Mkomazi is an excellent birding destination and a place to walk and night drive. Of great interest to many visitors, it the option to visit the Rhino and Wild Dog breeding project set up by the George Adamson and Tony Fitzjohn Wildlife Preservation Trust which have been instrumental in the protection of the wildlife area and the conversion of the area in National Park status.
